For my garment, I knew I wanted it to be functional but creative. The trickiest part for me was finding a fabric that could mimic the melted look that was crucial to the overall design. My garment is made of polyester and spandex which are two fabrics that require intense heat in order to be created. Since I was constructing a garment to showcase heat, these fabrics were perfect to use and allowed me to search for the melted look I wanted so badly. When designing my garment, I debated on doing a design with lots of coverage to portray the cold temperatures outside when around a campfire. Instead, I decided to go with a red hot, sexy dress as if the individual wearing it is the fire. Therefore, the name of this garment was born. Anyone wearing it will simply Set the World on Fire.
